In addition to the long-running Microcosmos column, our newest rundown of Bend's lounge scene hits the paper and the web in the Lounge Lizard. This week, the Lounge Lizard slithered its way down to The Marilyn Room at Kayo's on Third Street. The lounge, which pays tribute to cultural icon Marilyn Monroe, received high marks in our ranking categories: ambiance, drink strength and Rat Pat Rating.

8th-Annual Eugene Irish Cultural Festival

The 8th Annual Eugene Irish Cultural Festival features concerts from Kevin Burke & Cal Scott with openers Hanz Araki and Kathryn Claire. Other performances include Sheldon Choir and Dublinairs, Murray Irish Dancers, Harp Circle, New Celtic and O’Carolan Tunes, Ceili Mhor, Irish Stories, workshops, three hurling matches on the Sheldon High School field and more.
