Last weekend the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) sponsored a work party at the Maston Trail area near Cline Butte. (You can read more about that here). The timing was key as Maston has become a go-to winter riding destination.

Here's a look at what happened out there:

• New signage.

• New trails!

• Restoration.

• There's even new access for horses.

To access the Maston Trails, follow Cline Falls Highway north for 4.4 miles and turn right on Newcomb Road. A trailhead sign denotes the parking area, which is on the left approximately one half mile down Newcomb.
