Cav needs no train... taking the first real sprint finish of this years tour.
Cavindish has had such a strong sprint train in the past, it's easy to forget how good a freelancer he is. Not once did we see a Sky rider at the front once they hit the 3km to go banner, yet it was Cav again at the finish. He played Greipel, Sagan and Goss perfectly and beat them all in a true drag race to the finish.
Considering it's the first week of the Tour, it's a little surprising not to have any major crashes thus far and to have all the favorites still in the hunt. Evans looks particularly aggressive right now, especially compared to Wiggins stoic, methodical ride. I think Evans knows he can't let the race come to him as Wiggins has the edge in the time trailing. Evans will have to gain time whenever he can, and tomorrow's stage 3 looks like a place he might do that. Certainly not a mountain stage, but it does have a very bumpy finnish that could see some splits. It should be a bit more exciting than today's snoozer...
I'm picking Sagan (Stage 1 winner) again for tomorrow, with Chavanel making a move to get the jersey, although I think Cancellara will defend.
