Red Man|Method Man Concert

More specifically, hearing B-Real of Cypress Hill announce that Measure 91 had passed in a very smoky Domino Room.

Black Flag (NO MOSHING)

As one of nearly 60 other cities hit by the revived band on its Victimology Tour with new lead singer Mike D, Bend can now say it has hosted '80s don't-call-them-punk rock band Black Flag. Absolutely no moshing.

MC Escher Show

Back in April, local studio Atelier 6000 brought a collection of 21 MC Escher prints to Bend. No infinite staircases, but some fine and very famous geometric art all the same.

James Beard Loves 5 Fusion and Ariana

In 2014, two Bend restaurants gained national attention from the prestigious James Beard Association for their impeccable food. To our knowledge, this is the first time a Bend restaurant has been recognized by the association, EVER. In April, Chefs Ariana and Andres Fernandez were asked to cook for the Association in New York City. Chef Joe Kim of 5 Fusion was nominated for the honor of Best Chef in the Northwest and cooked for the exquisite palates of the Association at 5 Fusion in June.

TedXBend

In 2014, the three-year-old idea-based event moved to a larger venue to accommodate eager event goers and hosted a rollicking after party at Pakit Liquidators. TedXBend hosted high caliber guests this year including the founder of Hurley clothing company, Bob Hurley, and Charles Precourt, A FREAKING ASTRONAUT.
