Small Outdoor Concerts in Big Demand

Bend is known to be heavily into the music scene. International, national and local groups alike unpack and set up on varying stages around town. This summer all over Central Oregon there will be concerts both large and small in venues across the desert. Although the seemingly famous groups can draw an enormity of screaming fans that rush the stage just to get a closer look at stardom, it is the smaller venues that can be the ones with the most heart. There is something about sitting, standing and swaying amongst a group of fellow die-hard music lovers that has the ability to unite those rarely united by anything else, other than what music can bring. It is a power unlike others and soon this incredible feat in unity will be available to all who arrive in search of small time summer concerts.

There is an undeniable draw, a magnificent offering and something so incredibly pure about being outdoors when live music is within earshot. It can make the old feel young and the young feel experienced. This year there is so much to choose from in Central Oregon, with many free concert series that are fun for all ages all summer long. Some highlights this season include the free Drake Park Munch & Music series, Alive After 5 in the Old Mill District, Sunriver Resort's Concert Series, and Redmond's Music in the Canyon.
