Fastest land speed record (female)

The highest land speed recorded by a woman is 825.126 km/h (512.710 mi/h), by Kitty Hambleton (USA) in the rocket-powered SM1 Motivator in the Alvord Desert on Dec. 6, 1976. The highest speed measured during the runs was 843.323 km/h (524.016 mi/h), although she probably touched 965 km/h (600 mi/h) momentarily.

 

Fastest speed on a quad bike (ATV)

The highest speed on a quad bike (ATV) is 315.74 km/h (196.19 mph) achieved by Terry Wilmeth (USA) onboard his ALSR Rocket Raptor version 6.0, a modified Yamaha 700 Raptor at the Madras Airport on June 15, 2008.

This reclaimed the World Record. Previously, Wilmeth had held the highest speed on a quad bike (ATV), at 249.51 km/h (155.04 mph), onboard an AlbaAction/Fullbore/Powroll Rocket Raptor version 5.0 at the Madras Airport, set on June 16, 2007. And prior to that, onboard the AlbaAction/Fullbore/Powroll Rocket Raptor version RR 4.0 at the Madras Airport on June 3, 2006, Wilmeth had set the record at 240.44 km/h (149.40 mph).

 

Longest line of tacos

The longest line of tacos consisted of 426 tacos and was achieved by The Phoenix Phestival Phoundation (USA), in Phoenix, Ore., on Aug. 20, 2011.

 

Longest marathon static cycling

The record for the longest static cycling marathon belongs to Jennifer Johnston (USA) who cycled for 73 hours, 13 min continuously at the National Fitness and Racquet Club, Klamath Falls, from Nov. 8 to Nov. 11, 2003.

 

Longest single golfing hole completed in 12 hours

The longest "hole" completed in fewer than 12 hours measured 70 km (44 miles) long between South Ice Cave to the ninth green at the Meadows Course at Sunriver on Sept. 25, 2000. Played by Sean Guard, John Bladholm, Gene Molenkamp and Mike O'Connell (all USA) in 1,187 strokes, and having lost 147 balls.

 

Most hugs given in one hour by an individual

The most hugs given in one hour is 1,749, achieved by Nick Vujicic (USA) at the Deschutes County Expo Center on Sept. 25, 2010.
