This Veterans Day, the community is invited to come together in Downtown Bend for a very special milestone: the 25th Annual Bend Veterans Day Parade!

Organized by Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO), this beloved community tradition is an opportunity to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have served in our nation’s Armed Forces.

And this year is especially meaningful as we celebrate both 25 years of Bend’s Veterans Day Parade and America’s 250th anniversary!

Saluting Our Veterans: 250 Years of Service and Sacrifice

This year’s parade will feature patriotic displays, community organizations, veterans groups, and a special tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.

A particularly special highlight this year is our Grand Marshal, Joseph W. Sharpe, a 101-year-old World War II veteran and Bend resident who served 28 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Sergeant Major.

The parade will begin with a Civil Air Patrol flyover, followed by the Rolling Thunder motorcycle group leading the procession.
