ย It was bound to happen.ย Gary Ross, the director ofย Theย Hunger Games, has decided that hisย shaky-cam infused directorial skills are worth more thanย Lionsgate is willing to pay. On the one hand,ย The Hunger Gamesย had the third biggest opening weekend of all time, so it’s understandable why Ross would want more money. On the other hand, the film had a built-in fan base from the books that was (ahem) hungry for anย adaptation. People are going to seeย Catching Fireย regardless of who’s directing it. With that said, who would you like to see put their stamp on the world of Panem? I’m pulling for eitherย Alfonso Cuaronย (the king of post-apocalyptic dystopian films) orย David Cronenbergย (because he madeย The Fly). What say you? ย ย ย
