Central Oregon Election Results

It’s been a tense election.

In Central Oregon, we’ve contended with a highly contentious race for Deschutes County Sheriff, a tight race between three candidates for Bend City Council’s Position 4, an Oregon Senate 27 race that replaces a longtime Republican who was disqualified for repeated walkouts, and like the rest of the country, a breathless wait to see who becomes the next President of the United States.

In Deschutes County, Democrats’ early returns showed a good night. Bend City Councilor Anthony Broadman came out with a 59.87 lead against Michael Summers. Deschutes County Sheriff candidate Kent Vander Kamp led over William Bailey, with 58.86% of the votes. And in Congressional District 5, Democrat Janelle Bynum was ahead in a race that could help tip the scales toward Democrats in Congress. And for U.S. President, Donald Trump won Pennsylvania late Tuesday night, solidifying his win for the White House. Read on for local results.
