WinterFest is underway tonight at 5 p.m. down in the Old Mill District with the Rail Jam, live music and all the other good stuff we’ve come to expect from the massive outdoor winter carnival. Buttons are available at the gate and are good for the whole weekend.

Here’s a schedule of events for tonight:

5-10pm — Rail Jam ski competition (snowboarders are on Saturday)

5-9pm — Marketplace is open.

5:30pm — live music — Tortune

7pm — live music — Derby

8:30pm — live music — The Aggrolites

The highlight of tonight for most will probably be the self-described “dirty reggae” of the Aggrolites, who have a new album coming out on Tuesday (catch a tune from that below), but make sure you get down there in time for Derby — a catchy Portland indie rock band that should keep you warm. OK. We’ll see you out there this weekend!
