Below is her follow-up letter that arrived typed out and dropped in our mail slot a week ago. Thanks for staying in touch anonymous 13-year-old. Hello, greetings, hola, salutations, and aloha! Guess who? That’s right! Your “pissed off” 13 year old. Just some clarification, as I read your Bent (extremely bent) blog and most of its twisted, bleeding heart, and irrelevant comments. I was not pissed off, rather I was disappointed in your work. Sadly, I am not leaving a voicemail this time, but a letter can be just as entertaining, if not more (that is if you have the brain capacity, and I sure hope you do).So, I called that hot July evening because I had just read one of the most diabolical, half truth, left wing BULL articles in my life—The Boot/Glass Slipper. “Guns Don’t Kill People…The NRA Does” was the headline your paper barfed to my eyes, rendering me first speechless, then livid. Maybe you should get your facts straight, but….wait, oh thaaaat’s riiiight! You base your article purely on opinion, statistics pulled fresh from your butts, and liberal thought. Note: improvement necessary in this area.
I read the comments on your blog and I have to say, some of them really stung. Big thanks to whoever left the very first comment. Your awesome. But for the rest of you who think a 13-year-old girl can’t speak for herself, who think that I am just a puppet to my parents or the church, GET A CLUE!!!!!!!!!! I am an independent teenager who is equipped with a strong vocabulary and my own brain and opinion (and a .45) and am not afraid to use all of them (second amendment, people…read up). I have my own beliefs. I know the facts and do my research, most importantly I SPEAK FOR MYSELF!! It really is sad to think what standards have been formed for today’s youth to compel people to say these things. Not all teenagers are mealy mouthed mice. I guess the ones that are the product of the guys we’re paying for, the moronic liberal Obama lovers.
I also read the latest poop (that is the Boot/Glass Slipper, of course) and noticed yet another error in your jab at Dan Cathy’s biblical values. So, yes Noah, Judah, Solomon, and all the other guys did do all of that unspeakable stuff. But, once again to the Left’s advantage, you told only half the truth. All of these sinful acts you mentioned took place in the Old Testament, which is the part one in the Bible characterizing how bad and full of sin the world was before Jesus was born and taught the Truth then died to redeem these SINS in the New Testament. These sins were meant to be observed as what not to do. Dan Cathy is correct, and, oh how many people lined up outside of all the Chik-fil-A’s in America? And didn’t they run out of chicken? That’s what I thought, Conservatives don’t hate homos, but if a man sleeps with another man, America shouldn’t have to hear how great it was the morning after. And we don’t mind lesbians, but if they want to love on each other, it shouldn’t be waved in our faces. What happens at home stays at home, capice?
So, thank you for your time. I just wanted to clarify what SUCKS about your paper. I’m sure you’ll find a way to make my words another target to slander.
Oh, b-t-dubbs, love the sound section! Can you snif out a good local (or maybe non-local) dubstep artist? That’d be tops!

I’m impressed to the point of doubting that you are really 13 years old. You seem too smart to believe in fairy tales yet too young to really grasp the political views you spew. And I am officially frightened that you own a .45… ditto on Jeremy’s comment.

First off i don’t need to prove my age to anyone… listen to the recording and maybe that will set you straight. second, my parents have allowed me to first, call, then write a letter, and now they have agreed to let me continue posting here.
As for the .45 acp, guns are to be respected and are not toys. they are a form of self defense. i have been taught since the small age of five to respects and handle weapons with dilegence. i am not unstable.. just well informed, but believe what you want. so if you had a daughter and something was to happen to her, wouldn’t you have at least a little peace of mind knowing she is capable of defending herself and/or you? Interesting remark coming from someone who just called me a “moronic Obama lover”. So I guess in the world of gravity-denying Christianity, as long as you say “I’ll pray for you”, a person can insult whoever they want to their heart’s content? Tell you what, if you manage to go to college somewhere other than Liberty University or Bob Jones or Snodfart Up Jesus’ Ass Bible School you may one day learn something about the bible, and then become an atheist. Get back to us then.

Manners Jeremy, she’s just a kid. While I personally believe religion (and christianity in particular) to be at the core of many of our worst problems, everyone is entitled to hold whichever beliefs they like. I won’t go into the narcissism of parents who choose to indoctrinate their children into religion here.
As to why you think you need a hand gun: I do have a daughter. I also own both a rifle & shotgun for target shooting and hunting, but I challenge the pro-gun camp to prove that carrying a hand gun makes you safer. Statistically, I wonder if carying a hand gun increases your chance being shot? You seem like a quite well adjusted young lady, but most people I’ve met who insist on carrying a hand gun to the grocery store can’t seem to wait for a situation where they would ‘have to’ use it – and that certainly doesn’t make me (or my daughter) feel any safer.
Why is it that religion and guns so often go together?
First, I never implied nor said that i or anyone needs to carry a handgun. that is purely by choice of the educated and well informed ADULT. I am not advocating open carry among adolescents… WHICH IS ILLICIT! The point i am trying to get across about your daughter and children in general is if they have been taught firearm respect and safety and are ever home alone WHEN AGE APPROPRIATE and something were to happen where they would need to defend their security, safety, and family that they would be capable. DEFEND YOUR CASTLE! your challenge directed towards open carry laws can be easily defended by going to the FBI website and researching the statistics on safety in cities, counties, and states that have liberal open carry laws. you will find that one on one gun crime is significantly lower than non liberal open carry laws. concealed carry solves your questioning on if carrying a gun would make it more likely for you to be victimized. (think about this… if you are a criminal looking to assault, rob, even rape someone in a liberal open carry region, you might be thinking twice about this as the person MAY be carrying, ready and willing to defend themselves. ) also, just how many crazies have you met that are so trigger happy that they would even think about opening fire in a store? I think you are placing everybody into the same pool as the crazy people who use the excuse of self defense to go on a public shooting spree.

Okay i don’t understand your frustration with me, but i am not taking back the things i have said, and i was also not specifically directing the name “moronic obama lover” towards you. Christianity does not permit one to make rude comments, nor does any other religion. I am still going to pray for you, but if you don’t believe in a superior being, than why does it matter so much to you? if i ever get accepted to a college that teaches charles darwin’s THEORY of evolution, i’m not going to turn it down for that sole reason. Not all Christians are as narrow minded as liberalism would have you believe. if i am taught something, i don’t have to believe or accept it, but i’m not going to go on some strike because a history class referred to a mythical “god” . your immature ranting has led me to doubt your being any much older than a 12 year old.

if you can have an honest and mature debate on any subject (perhaps the reason why our parents should not let us drink red bull) then you are more than welcome to revive my communication with you in the future.

Well Well, smokesignals has done it again, very impressive. I agree with SS’s, after looking up the statistics on the FBI website, there is a ton of information on this very subject that has proven Open carry and Canceled carry towns etc do have a significant lower one on one crime rate then do places that have progressive firearms (Stricter Laws). Thank you SS for the referral. I also don’t believe that all gun right advocates should be lumped in with the very low number of nut jobs out there that want to harm there fellow man or woman. World with more 13yr like you is what we need for the future of our country.
Cities with stricter gun laws have more crime because they are more densely populated areas with more poverty. That’s the cause of gun crime — not the nature of the gun laws. When you do make it out of middle school, smokesignals, you will learn that correlation does not = causation. Interesting that you and others accuse me of having poor manners and losing my cool when it seems pretty clear by way of SS’s incessant use of capital letters, insulting slurs, and defensive tone that no one but her is losing their cool.
SS, you threaten to cut off communication with me? I’ll not have the words to express my disappointment. How will I carry on? Perhaps I’ll jump off a bridge and end it….but then again the THEORY of gravity could decide to suspend itself and I may be saved! Oh what to do??
