Remember those sappy radio dedications we all used to make back in the 80s and 90s? They were the perfect way to let girlfriends or boyfriends know they were loved, missed or in some cases that they were a secret crush. They were also a great way to let the entire listening audience in on a private love life; a public declaration of teenage hormones.

This week’s Friday Mixtape pays homage to all the great dedication songs from the late 80s and 90s. Whether lamenting a breakup with Boyz II Men and “End of the Road” or cherishing a long time love with Surface and “The First Time”, this playlist is full of songs dripping with sugary emotion. Of particular note is perhaps the sexiest (non-Prince) song of all time “(Lay Your Head On My) Pillow” by Tony! Toni! Tone! and the Five Man Acoustical Jam version of Tesla’s epic sing-a-long anthem “Love Song.”

BONUS: Who doesn’t love a little Nick Offerman and FIDLAR on a Friday? (WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT)
