Down North

FUNK—If GoodLife’s roof had a patio, this Seattle-based funk band would tear it off. The group that managed to turn out a funk-phobic music writer for the Stranger brings an old school flavor to the genre that birthed some of music’s greats. From throbbing, syncopated base lines to funky flourishes and versatile vocals reminiscent of the King of Pop, Down North knows how to lay down the boogie.

7 pm. GoodLife Brewing, 70 SW Century Dr. Free.
