The Deschutes County Road Department will open both Cascade Lakes Highway and Paulina Lake Road at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 7.

In a typical year, it can take up to six weeks to clear snow from Cascade Lakes Highway and Paulina Lake Road. However, because of this year’s warm winter and limited snowfall, road crews have been able to finish the work more quickly.
