"Get Out Of Our Town" Painted On Summit of Pilot Butte

Posted By on Mon, Jul 31, 2017 at 1:15 PM

Hooligans or locals frustrated with Bend's busy summer?

Deschutes County officials are trying to figure that out as a reported vandalism hit the summit of the popular outdoor recreation spot, the 500-foot-cinder-cone butte, on the east-side of Bend.

Bathrooms were targeted in the apparent vandalism as was the pavement of the summit where a giant "Get Out Of Our Town" was painted in all white, according to Pilot Butte State Park officials.

Officials state that the deliberate destruction to public property most likely occurred between the park's closing last night and this morning.
