Brianna Brey
Bri Brey is a Bend native who started as an intern at the Source Weekly after her graduation from the University of Oregon three years ago. She is now the full-time arts, culture and music editor.
Committed to bolstering Bend’s growing musical and arts community, Bri takes after the semi-fictional William Miller of Almost Famous. Despite a cynicism cultivated over the 20 years she’s lived in Bend, Bri loves Christmas. She loves decorating and gift giving and prides herself on having the best white elephant strategy. She once devised an It’s a Wonderful Life drinking game. Contact her at bri@bendsource.com with local music, arts and culture events (or the rules to that drinking game).

Ariana Named One of Top 100 Restaurants in America by Open Table Diners
This year, Chef Andres Fernandez of Ariana won the Source’s best chef honors, and in early 2014 the chefs of Ariana were invited to cook for the James Beard Foundation, an unprecedented honor for Bend chefs. Mama Said Kronk You Out
If The Kronk Men were a child, they would be turning 15 this year—an age that many bands, especially in small towns, never see. It’s an angsty age, one that balances fierce independence with experience. That’s the case for this local band that has been constantly gigging in every venue, dive bar and basement in […]
Rock the Tower
The Tower is a gem of a theatre with vaulted ceilings, balconies that appear to float at the back of the venue, a beautiful (albeit not enormous) stage, and plush seats, each embossed with the name of a sponsor who helped fund the 2004 rebuild. Since its refurbishment, the venue has been a magnet for […]

TONIGHT’s Live Music: Everyone is Dirty and Problem Stick
Brusque grunge-pop recorded in an anonymous California basement, Everyone is Dirty is fronted by the charismatic Sivan Gur-Arieh on vocals and violin, a welcome addition to the terrific grime-rock. The burrowing and billowing blowback guitar riffs paired with the sweet stings of Gur-Arieh and driving simplistic percussion is a new twist on a ’90s classic. […]
