We checked in with Collier Lawrence, a member of the Bend-based elite-running club Littlewing Athletics, to see what it’s been like the past year for her and her teammates and what she expects to come in 2021.

‘Live To Your Home’ With Portland’s Junebugs
The Tower Theatre is kicking off its monthly “Live To Your Home” series this week, aiming to bring some Portland bluegrass to Central Oregon with The Junebugs. To top it off, these shows are FREE! Of course there will be options to tip the band as the show goes on, and anyone who does so […]
What To (Maybe) Look Forward to in 2021
Itโs probably fair to say weโre all prettttty stoked that 2020 is over. The beginning of the new year gives the music industry and local scenes some hope that things might improve in 2021. Fingers crossed that ends up being just the case. To celebrate in that newfound hope, hereโs a list of items that […]
Source Material: Best of the Year
Looking back, this year is really a blur. So much has happened, and almost so little at the same time. For musicians, this year was a testโand if I was in any position to give out grades, I’d say you all did wonderfully. A+ marks for the class. Some of the best music I’ve heard […]
The Smooth Sound of KENZI
Sometimes you hear a voice for the first time that immediately latches on to youโone that you can’t help but be thoroughly impressed by. The 17-year-old only had two songs and an EP titled, “Clover,” released at the time, […]
Winter JAM

The idea first came when the organization was unable to hold its traditional instrument raffle during its usually scheduled multi-day Folk Festival. This year, fundraising for the nonprofit is particularly important following a slew of show cancellations and postponements due to COVID-19 […]

Here are a few local and regional recommendations on November releases you truly don’t want to miss out on. Local’s Bin Welcome To The Rage – Chandler […]
Pete Kartsounes Steps into New Age
The productive year for Pete Kartsounes continues. In August, the Bend-based singer/songwriter released “Out Here On My Own Vol. 1,” and on Nov. 10, Kartsounes released his second album of the year, “Mindful Muse.” But that doesn’t mean his work is done. Even as he got on the phone with me, Kartsounes was with guitar […]
