The City of Redmond will close SW Lake Road, near the intersection of Veterans Way, beginning January 5 thru January 7, 2026. The closure is necessary to excavate and install sewer facilities in advance of construction of a new roundabout at Veterans Way and Airport Way coming spring of 2026.
This marks the beginning of the third phase of the city’s Eastside Arterial Project and will include multiple construction impacts to the traveling public. Most notably, a 10-week closure of SE Veterans Way from SW Lake Road to SE Airport Way in March 2026. This is a busy area and ask drivers to consider potential delays when traveling in the vicinity. The roundabout is tentatively scheduled for completion in the fall of 2026.
