Stereo Planet, a Bend-based home technology company serving Central Oregon since 1980, is entering a new chapter as longtime leaders Jon Houston and Jordon Houston have acquired the company and its custom integration division, Sera Custom Integrators.

Jon has been with the organization for more than 20 years and currently serves as President and General Manager. Over that time, he has helped guide daily operations, manage complex integration projects, and build strong relationships with homeowners, builders, and businesses throughout the region.

Jordon is the CFO at Sera Custom Integrators, keeping the companyโ€™s finances running smoothly while bringing the same precision and focus to everything he does, reflecting his love for high-quality performance and attention to detail, which the company also prides itself on.

With the acquisition, the Houston brothers aim to uphold Stereo Planetโ€™s trusted reputation while delivering easier, more intuitive home and commercial technology experiences for clients.

Stereo Planet and SERA Custom Integrators create systems that give customers effortless control over audio, video, lighting, security, blinds, and connectivityโ€”delivering reliability, convenience, and peace of mind.

โ€œFor more than four decades, Stereo Planet has been committed to enriching peopleโ€™s lives through thoughtful design via great sound and home technology,โ€ said Jon Houston.

Weโ€™re proud of the foundation thatโ€™s been built here, and this next step with new leadership allows us to expand that vision. Our goal is simple: help homeowners and businesses enjoy technology that works intuitively and reliably.

The Sera Custom Integrators division delivers integrated smart-home and commercial systems that simplify everyday living and workingโ€”offering streamlined control, advanced security, and enhanced comfort. โ€œGone are the days of juggling multiple vendors or dealing with disconnected systems,โ€ Jon Houston said. โ€œOur approach is integratedโ€”bringing together lighting, audio, video, security, networking, and control into one ecosystem that simply works.โ€

Under Houstonโ€™s leadership, the company now offers clients advanced security, intelligent lighting, and unified smart-home environments, making homes and businesses safer, more efficient, and more enjoyableโ€”elements and systems that, in today’s day and age, more and more people are looking for.

Jon Houston holds an Associateโ€™s Degree in Business Management and Marketing. He is an HTSA Level 3 Lighting Designer, bringing both technical expertise and design insight to every project Sera takes on.

He enjoys working with leading technology brands, including Sony, McIntosh, and Sonos, as well as companies known for combining performance, reliability, and thoughtful designโ€”a mainstay of Seraโ€™s own business philosophy.

With Houston and his brother now taking ownership and leading the company, Stereo Planet and SERA Custom Integrators will continue to serve Central Oregon homeowners, architects, builders, and businessesโ€”bringing together entertainment, lighting, security, and connectivity into systems that make modern spaces more comfortable, functional, and secure, while reaffirming our commitment to the local community and industry
