Scalehouse invites the Central Oregon community to experience For Art’s Sake, a one-of-a-kind evening that blends performance, storytelling, and art history into a playful, thought-provoking variety show—all in support of keeping bold, contemporary art thriving in the region.
Taking place April 16, this dynamic fundraiser transforms learning into entertainment, asking big questions—What is art? Where does it come from? Why does it matter?—through humor, live performance, and engaging visuals. Guests can expect an energetic, welcoming atmosphere designed to spark curiosity while bringing people together around a shared love of creativity.
More than just a night out, For Art’s Sake directly supports Scalehouse, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to presenting innovative exhibitions, public programs, and opportunities for artists in Central Oregon. Funds raised during the event will help sustain accessible arts experiences, educational programming, and creative opportunities for the broader community.
“This event is about making art approachable, joyful, and meaningful,” says Marley Weedman Lorish, Director of Scalehouse. “We want people to laugh, learn something new, and leave feeling connected—to ideas, to artists, and to each other.”
