As we all know, short days and bitter cold make maintaining fitness a daunting prospect during Bend’s winter season, but Ceiling: Unlimited Health Coaching is stepping in to fill the gap with a returning 8-week program, Winter Wonder Women!
Winter Wonder Women is designed to help women keep moving, all winter long. The foundation of the group is a once-weekly meeting that welcomes walkers, runners, and movers of all paces into warm community. Participants walk or run in a well-lit area every other Wednesday evening; on intervening weeks we experiment with beginner-friendly movement activities like a pool workout and bowling. After all workouts, we enjoy a convivial dinner at a local restaurant.
States Ceiling: Unlimited founder Michelle Poirot, “Deciding to bring this program back was a no-brainer after last year’s survey results. Previous participants commented that having a weekly movement commitment with other women kept them happier, more connected, and more likely to move even on days we weren’t meeting! Women who’d previously ‘hated’ winter found themselves embracing dark, starry nights… as long as conversation and food were waiting at the end of their workouts! Community is so needed in winter – as is starting the year off with a truly inclusive and holistic experience of fitness. ”
Registration is open now for our January 7th start. Participants can choose the number of sessions they’ll be able to attend and pay accordingly.
