Jon Skidmore will be Bend City Manager Eric King’s new right hand man, King confirmed today.
The city has been searching for a new assistant city manager for some time.

Hoodoo to Close Season with $15 Lifties
Although this weekend’s weather, assuming the forecast for mid-70s holds, is likely to scream summer to most Central Oregonians, those who are still thinking winter, or maybe just, spring, can indulge their impulse at Hoodoo Ski Resort.
Hoodoo announced today that it’s adding a final weekend to the season this Saturday and Sunday and offering skiers and boarders that make the trip to Santiam Pass $15 lifties.

Bend Republican Chris Telfer, a former city council member and one-time candidate for Oregon treasurer, got the first inkling of the coming political storm from a colleague who had just gotten off the phone with a representative from a polling firm. The pollster wanted to know how the legislator felt about the possibility of Tim Knopp challenging Telfer in the May primary.
It was disquieting news for Telfer, a fiscally conservative Republican who was coming off a successful legislative session that saw some of her high priority jobs and economic development bills passed.
