Yeah, it’s last minute, but if you want to see one of weirdest, coolest, most Oregon-ish thing the summer has to offer, you should enter to win two VIP tickets to the Oregon Country Fair. The cultural celebration of arts, music, food and general hippie-ness is now in its 42nd year and begins today in Veneta (outside of Eugene) and continues through Sunday.

The Source Staffers Bowl for Kids’ Sake

For the third year in a row The Source staffers lace up their bowling shoes for Bowl For Kids’ Sake.

For the last three years The Source has participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake. This year we had representatives from each department: editorial, advertising, and production, along with two Source groupies. We bowled a good number of strikes, a fair amount of gutter balls, and even beat our lane-mates, Combined Communications, in a friendly challenge.
Here are a few cell-phone photos from the event. Needless to say, Brandon made a few small friends, as well as one gigantic green one.

I heard about the previous speakeasy after the fact and besides hearing that it was great,  attendees were tight-lipped about the goings on.
