PPP Registration Now Open

You still have a few months to find your best one-piece, neon snowsuit, schwinn ten-speed and vintage kayak, but the starting line is officially in sight for the 35th Annual PPP. MBSEF announced yesterday that it is now taking on-line applications for individuals and teams for this year’s rite of spring race.

The Seattle Mariner’s Milton Bradley was arrested…just in time for spring training.

Since I didn’t have a Left Field column in this week’s paper — which will be hitting the web in about two hours and the streets a few hours after that — I need to unload some of the sports idiocy currently boiling my brains.
And there’s no source of idiocy more reliable than Seattle Mariner’s sometimes outfielder/constant embarrassment, Milton Bradley.

Humane Society of Central Oregon offers Adoption Special for Ducks BCS Game

The Humane Society of Central Oregon offers reduced adoption fees for yellow cats and dogs in honor of the Ducks BCS Championship game.

The latest news in our Duck Watch coverage finds the Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) joining in on the BCS National Championship fever, in a very good way. The HSCO highlights the University of Oregon’s big game by reducing the adoption fee for “yellow” cats and “yellow” dogs to $20.

Oregon vs. Auburn: The curfew battle

There are plenty of differences between Auburn and Oregon — for starters, one of the schools is located in Alabama and the other in the Pacific Northwest, and secondly, only one team has LaMichael James.
There are other differences too, like, for example, the one illustrated by a USA Today post yesterday that described the differences in the approach the two teams take in terms of player curfews.
