One of Bend's most famous residents, pro cyclist Chris Horner, is giving his hometown residents a look into his life as part of Team RadioShack and what it's like to race in the Tour de France. Horner, as many know, suffered injuries in a serious crash during the race and had to withdraw. He's since come back to Bend to recover and is thankfully giving this talk (which includes a Q&A) session at the Tower. $20/Adults, $5/Kids 18 and under. 7pm. Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St.

Thankfully, though, they're coming back home for this Saturday night show in the Parrilla parking lot and we're going to go ahead and say this is going to be a hell of a party. A few weeks ago, we profiled this local group that plays polo - the kind on horses. This installment of the Chuckers for Charity series features some excellent players (and their horses) from around the region to raise money for an array of nonprofit organizations, including the Deschutes Basin Land Trust, the Redmond Humane Society, Equine Outreach, Sparrow Clubs USA. And there's a best-hat contest, too! $10/person, kids 12 and under free, $20 field-side tailgate parking. 12pm, Camp Fraley Ranch, 60580 Gosney Road.

There have been plenty of rock and country shows at the Les Schwab Amphitheater over the years, but this performance will be one of the most unique the venue has ever seen. Garrison Keillor is bringing his legendary public radio, A Prairie Home Companion, show to the LSA as part of the Summer of Love Tour. If you don't know, Prairie Home is one of the finest samplings of Americana you'll hear on the radio and a throwback to simpler, smarter times. Featured at this show in Bend will be some jazz, the All Star Shoe Band, plenty of other performers and guests, and you should be able to count on some news from Lake Wobegon, too. $40.
