Employee-owned supermarket chain WinCo Foods is now open in Bend. Located in the former Shopko at 60 NE Bend River Mall Drive, the supermarket is known for its extensive bulk section, open-shelf storage and discount prices. Founded in 1967 by two men, the company created an employee stock ownership plan in 1985. The Bend store is open 24 hours a day.
