Daniel Tosh

Join the censor-free Daniel Tosh on the June Gloom Tour for two consecutive nights of comedic damage. Bring friends, the easily offended "frenemy," significant other, or anyone up for awkward funny (probably best to leave grandma at home). Tosh is a fan of his First Amendment rights, especially when it comes to providing searing comments on pop culture. "American Idol isn't about the music. It's about Coke and driving Fords," said Tosh. Friday 8 pm. Saturday 7 & 9:30 pm. The Paramount Theatre. $56.

The Julie Ruin & La Sera

Gather the girls (and guys, but probably mostly girls) to watch Kathleen Hanna's return to the music scene in her famous feminist-punk fashion. The Bikini Kill days are gone, but The Julie Ruin gives that badass rocker-chick taste of the '90s while making moshing and hair-whipping happy inevitabilities. Start the night off with the mellow pop-punk of La Sera, and then get fired up to The Julie Ruin pump up anthems like "Oh Come On," "Ha Ha Ha," and "Girls Like Us." 8 pm. Neumos Crystal Ball Reading Room. $15.

Neko Case & Pickwick

While Neko Case has been a staple on the NPR crowd's iPods for years, she has been just at the edges of mainstream. The sultry, cow-punk redhead has remained below the top-40 charts, but not off critics-best lists. Seattle natives Pickwick open, bringing back Motown-style soul in the bodies of white boys with big hair. 7:30 pm. The Paramount Theater. $28.25.
