New Ranch Records Location

Don't freak out when you walk past the former Ranch Records location on Wall Street. next to the Tower Theater. Yes, it's empty, but Bend's oldest record store isn't closed, it has just moved a few blocks over to Oregon Avenue, across from US Bank and next to Summit Saloon. We highly recommend you stop by the new spot and support local by buying some vinyl. 117 Oregon Ave. Open Monday-Thursday:10am -8pm, Friday-Sturday:10am-9pm, Sunday:11am-5pm.

David Lindley

With muttonchops that rival Martin VanBuren, David Lindley is best known as a longtime accompanist to Jackson Browne. With song titles like "Cat Food Sandwiches," and "Alien Invasion," Lindley doesn't take his music too seriously, while being versed in world music and unconventional instruments like Kona and Weissenborn Hawaiian lap steel guitar, Turkish saz and chumbus, Middle Eastern oud, and Irish bouzouki. Sun., Jan. 11. 7 pm. The Belfry 302 E Main St. Sisters. $20.

Patrimony & Kayleb James and Split Atom

Two young bands from right here in Central Oregon (Patrimony hails from Sisters and Split Atom from Redmond), these millennials are doing a lot more than updating their Facebook pages. While most of Kayleb James' experience is playing into a camera for his YouTube station, his charismatic youthful songs are bright beacons of hope for the next generation of musicians. Sun., Jan. 11. 8 pm. Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Dr. $5.
