The “Night of Elegance” will include historic and ballet dance performances and Broadway songs by young entertainers who hope to someday have professional careers in the arts.

“Night of Elegance” is an evening of inspiring and light-hearted presentations, the like of which have never been seen or performed in all of Bend’s history. The performance will begin with Joy Victor narrating about the meaning and history of the evolution of dance, bringing new knowledge about classical ballet and how it came to be.

This will be demonstrated by elaborately costumed dancers performing dances from the 14th to the 17th centuries. The program will include contemporary and classical dance pieces choreographed by Victor, including a 30 minute dramatic ballet called “Spanish Suite”.

Dance direction by Joy Victor, formerly of American Ballet Theatre in New York City. The dancing will alternate with Broadway songs sung by BEAT performers, expertly coached by Jimena Sheppard.
