The local women’s beer group, Central Oregon Beer Angels, is official now and is ready for all females 21 and over to become part of the fun. They will be having two membership open house meetings tomorrow and thursday that will include the details of membership, the perks of being an angel and the chance to meet other women in Central Oregon who also have a passion for beer. Tomorrow’s event will be at GoodLife Brewing from 6-8 p.m. where you will get a tour of the brewery, play games and meet a few of the angels. If you can’t make the meeting Wednesday, Thursday’s event will be at Broken Top Bottle Shop from 6-8 p.m. and will involve some tasty suds, games and another chance to meet the Beer Angels crew. What a way to go! Being carried up to the Pearly Gates, wrapped in the arms of a Beer Angel, who is carrying two 7.5% 85 IBU IPAs. You’re offered a taste every now and then, and when in front of St Peter, he says Cheers, as the angel flies off, leaving you with the two mugs. You pass through the Gates of PearlyMugs and see all who are there look all contented and happy with an eternal supply of central Oregon beer. Ahhhh!
