On July 22, during the Deschutes County Democrats Central Committee Meeting, the committee voted to affirm the Executive Committee’s decision to withdraw support for Nathan Boddie in the House District 54 race and called on Boddie to withdraw his candidacy.

If Boddie decides to stay in the race, state and county bylaws prevent the Deschutes Democrats from endorsing a third-party or write-in candidate, according to a release from the Deschutes Democrats.

The committee also passed two resolutions, which you can read below:

  1. Boddie showing real leadership here, ducking out on Council meetings and vanishing like a fart into the wind. What an embarrassment. Get rid of this jackass once and for all. County Dems did the right thing here. Doesn’t bode well for the HD54 seat, of course, but dignity has to come first. Otherwise, we’d be Rs.
