Two year project:

Eric Forster, Manager for the 27th Street Sewer Line project in east Bend is asking the public’s patience for the two-year project that begins, Monday, August 8. ย Nearly two miles of pipe will be installed along 27th between Reed Market Road and Medical Center Drive with complete road resurfacing to follow. ย Forster says the city’s sewage collection system is at capacity in some areas.

Beginning Monday evening from 7 pm to 6:30 am, the 27th street northbound lanes (occasionally southbound too) between Twin Knolls and Grand Way will be closed with detours marked for up to eight weeks. ย Highway 20 will remain open east and westbound across 27th during this work.

Access to homes, medical facilities, and businesses will be maintained for residents, employees, customers and emergency services. ย

Later in 2016 there will be more road restrictions until the project is completed which will take up to two years. ย Forster says, “We ask that travelers give themselves extra time, practice patience and use other routes when possible.”
