Tonight! Rock ‘till you drop: Animal Eyes, Coast Jumper and Hopeless Jack at the Horned Hand

Do this tonight.

Want good music tonight? You got it.

Coast JumperAnimal Eyes sounds like the love child from an acid trip, mountaintop orgy that involves the Fleet Foxes and Animal Collective, who, after a night of vicious passion, created a baby that was then raised in rural Alaska by a pack of musical wolves, led by Aplha, Tom Waits. The Portland-based band has played Bend four times since January and if you missed them before, that sucks for you because they are rad. Check out this Source Sound feature for more info.

San Francisco’s psychedelic and emotive indie-rock band Coast Jumper (pictured above) will be joining Animal Eyes along with dirty blues-roots rockers and Horned Hand regulars, Hopeless Jack and the Handsome Devil.

Of particular note is Coast Jumper's trippy, cross-country road trip video for their song “Sutures i” (see below). A name-your-own-price download of their debut album, Grand Opening, is available on their site. Be generous, these guys are working hard, but if you’re really broke, download it for free and tell all your (rich) friends how amazing it is.

The first time I saw Animal Eyes in Bend, it was a night of loud music and absolute debauchery and I suspect tonight will be more of the same. I suggest wearing as few items of clothing as possible since the Horned Hand will undoubtedly be scorching hot from all the dancing and awesomeness happening inside. It’s going to be a sexy night!
