Music fans in Bend donโ€™t easily forget. Thatโ€™s why when Vancouver, BCโ€™s bluegrassish party band Clumsy Lovers played the Silver Moon last nightโ€”despite not having played in town for at least three yearsโ€”fans remembered that this band used to rip it up here in town. And rip it up the Lovers did once again, stemming a massively sweaty dance party.

Although not terribly exciting to watch for the most part, with the exception of front man Trevor Rogers, the band succeeded in ripping through two sets that showcased many of their originals, but also tossed in plenty of covers, including โ€œIโ€™ve Been Everywhere,โ€ โ€œOctopusโ€™ Gardenโ€ and a teaser of the Rolling Stonesโ€™ โ€œEmotional Rescueโ€ near the end of the set. The sold-out Pepper show across the street at the Domino Room didnโ€™t seem to hurt attendance at the Moon for this Grove-produced showโ€ฆalthough there probably wasnโ€™t much crossover between the two groupsโ€™ fan bases.

And on the beer frontโ€”not that this has anything to do with musicโ€”but Silver Moonโ€™s newly released Hoppopotamus is downright delicious. I would gladly bathe in it’s hoppy delight if provided with the proper amount.

Hereโ€™s some video of the Clumsy Lovers from last night:
