If you slogged your way through the Grammys Sunday evening, you saw several things, one of which was a performance in which the Black Eyed Peas revealed themselves to be robots. Or at least half robot.

The award ceremony stuck to formula, handing out awards seemingly based on record sales and radio airplay rather than artistic merit. And that’s fine — it’s what to be expected.

But how about Steven Colbert, who hosted the show, by the way, winning a Best Comedy Album Grammy for his A Colbert Christmas? That’s legit. And his thank you to Jesus Christ for having a birthday that would necessitate such an album was pretty funny, too.
