From airstream to mainstream, last year’s winner for Best Food Cart has moved out of its shiny silver kitchen on wheels and into the former Fox’s location on Newport Avenue. We commend Spork for moving on up in the restaurant world and continuing to provide a consistent and eclectic menu with everything from crispy gluten-free fried chicken to rich pork tacos to spicy, creamy vegetable curry.

Our favorite thing about the new location? Longer hours (11 am-10 pm Mon-Thurs and Sun, 11 am-midnight Fri-Sat) the continued ambience (sans AstroTurf, plus neat-o hanging designed light fixtures and classy silver plates and cutlery) and they now serve beer! Other drinks include the specialty cocktails and the revived Grove Raspberry Mate. Good going, Spork! (BB)
