At a rally in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina yesterday, Donald Trump announced that he wants to ban Muslims from entering the United States. “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” he said to a cheering crowd. He also suggested that people should have reported the San Bernardino shooters sooner. “I watched the next door neighbor saying ‘oh well we didn’t report them because we didn’t want to racially profile’ or ‘we didn’t want to profile’,” he said. “Give me a break.” (NBC)

Mount Pleasant is a few miles north of Charleston, South Carolina where nine African Americans were killed by a white gunman in June while attending a church service at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal. (CBS)
