La Pine Community Health Center (LCHC) has received $10,000 from Cow Creek to use for their “Ladies Day Out” event.

This generous donation has allowed LCHC to take several ladies to Central Oregon Radiology Associates (CORA) in Bend, Oregon to receive breast cancer screenings, along with health education and information about the importance of regular preventative screenings. The event provides more than access to preventative care – it gives women an opportunity to connect with one another, learn about women’s health, and enjoy lunch together in a supportive setting.

“We are honored to receive this donation from Cow Creek”, said CEO Marie Manes. Cow Creek has been a valuable asset to LCHC’s patients and helps to make sure they receive this important preventative testing. It will help ladies in our community and we will be able to provide this event twice this year because of this generous gift. We are fortunate to make this a yearly event; one the women in our community now watch for each year, as this is the 2nd year we have been selected to receive the Cow Creek grant.
