Skiers and snowboarders of all ages will come together on Sunday, March 8, at Mt. Bachelor for the Runs for Wishes Ski-A-Thon, creating hope with every run. The fundraiser is spearheaded by Make-A-Wish Oregon Wish Ambassador Holden and his family, with support from Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF), with whom Holden trains as part of the Mini World Cup program.

After being diagnosed with a nervous system disorder, the avid ski racer wished to attend the X Games at Aspen Snowmass, and his wish exceeded every expectation.

“My wish was epic,” Holden said. “My mom, dad and I were X Games VIPs! We loaded on a snowcat for a behind-the-scenes tour, got to meet Olympic Gold Medal Winner Alex Hall, and hand out medals on the podium. I felt like I was on top of the world!”

Now, Holden is channeling that same excitement into a first-of-its-kind Runs for Wishes fundraiser to help make future wishes like his come true, and he’s inviting the Bend community to help him turn dreams into reality.

Pre-event, participants will solicit pledges from family and friends for each run they complete during the day on March 8th and make a direct donation to Holden’s Make-A-Wish page at the conclusion of the event.

All proceeds will support Oregon wish kids and their families. Holden and his family will be joined on the mountain by his teammates from MBSEF and APEX FX, along with friends from Seven Peaks School.

“There are more than 300 kids like me in Oregon who are waiting for their wish to come true. Together, I hope we can all change that.
