Oregon Ducks fans will have another way to support mental health awareness this football season. Kiefer Magic Peach Hazy IPA, brewed by Central Oregon’s Wild Ride Brewing, will be available in the grab-and-go section of the Moshofsky Center for the Ducks’ final three home games of the 2026 regular season.
The beer will be available on:
- October 31: Oregon vs. Northwestern
- November 14: Oregon vs. Michigan
- November 28: Oregon vs. Washington
The special beer honors Kiefer Leutschaft, who died by suicide in 2021 at age 26. Kiefer was a University of Oregon graduate, a devoted Ducks fan, and someone who loved his family, friends, good beer, and making memories with the people around him.
Wild Ride Brewing has been a longtime partner in keeping Kiefer’s legacy alive, using its craft beer and community connections to help bring people together and raise awareness around mental health.
“Having Kiefer Magic beer available at Oregon games is especially meaningful to our family,” said Julie Leutschaft, Kiefer’s mother and founder of Kiefer Magic. “The University of Oregon was a big part of Kiefer’s life, and we love that his legacy can be part of the game-day experience while supporting a cause that matters so much to us.”
The beer partnership is part of a broader effort to turn the loss of Kiefer into meaningful action. Kiefer Magic recently launched its new website, www.kiefermagic.org, and is now an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Kiefer Magic is developing a postvention initiative focused on helping individuals and families navigate life after losing someone to suicide. Its goal is to connect survivors with compassionate, practical wraparound support and existing community resources so they do not have to navigate the journey alone.
Wild Ride Brewing, with locations in Redmond and Prineville, has supported Kiefer’s legacy through community events and fundraising partnerships. The Kiefer Magic Peach Hazy IPA continues that tradition by bringing together craft beer, Ducks football, and a commitment to mental health awareness.
“Though Kiefer’s death was tragic, it created Kiefer Magic,” Julie said. “We’re grateful to Wild Ride Brewing and everyone who continues to support this mission. Every conversation we start and every person we help is another way to keep his magic alive.”
