Starting May 4, 2026, Cascades East Transit is improving bus service in Bend with more frequent buses, better reliability, and faster connections across town. 

  • In Bend:
    • Routes 1 and 4 along 3rd Street will run every 15 minutes between 10:30am and 2:00pm on weekdays  
    • Frequency along key corridors serving St. Charles, Neff Road, and several other routes will increase from 45 minutes to 30 minutes. 

Route 6 will also be updated to serve the new Deschutes Public Library – Central Library, opening May 11.
