Crooked River Wetlands Complex Credit: City of Prineville

Destination Rehab is excited to partner with the City of Prineville for a special community outing at the Crooked River Wetlands Complex on Tuesday, May 20th, from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM. Funded by a generous grant from COHQA, this one-day event will bring together more than 40 individuals and caregivers for an engaging afternoon of health education, environmental education, and outdoor movement.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the wetlands through a guided wheel/walk experience while learning about the local ecosystem and the benefits of connecting movement, wellness, and nature. Adaptive equipment will be available as appropriate to ensure accessibility and inclusion for all attendees.

The goal of the outing is to foster a sense of community support and connection to nature while creating meaningful opportunities for participants and caregivers to engage with one another in an outdoor setting. Events like this also allow Destination Rehab to strengthen relationships with

Prineville and surrounding communities while expanding partnerships and outreach efforts beyond Bend and Redmond.
