Beginning Monday, July 6, a temporary westbound lane closure of Franklin Avenue from NE Third Street to NE Fourth Street will be required for about one month. The detour route will include NE Eighth Street, Greenwood Avenue, and NE Third Street.
Other daytime work and some night work will continue in one to two block sections between First Street and Fourth Street. Franklin Avenue will remain open to eastbound traffic until September.

Business access will be maintained throughout construction and emergency response access will be maintained at all times.
During this phase of construction, crews continue upgrading the aging waterlines, installing stormwater dry wells, and begin the full reconstruction of the street so it’s safer for everyone who uses it.
