MusicOregon is holding a virtual listening session by Zoom on Thursday, July 30, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This session closes out the organization’s statewide listening tour, which took MusicOregon board members to seven in-person gatherings across Oregon in May and June.
The online session is designed for musicians, venue operators, and music professionals based outside the Portland metro area who were not able to attend one of the seven in-person stops. Like the face-to-face sessions, this gathering is conversation-first, with no formal presentation and no agenda beyond listening. Participant input will help shape MusicOregon’s statewide programming, partnerships, and advocacy priorities for the next few years.
The session is open to the public, but MusicOregon is specifically seeking participation from music professionals working outside the Portland metro. The organization’s statewide work is built on hearing directly from communities beyond its home base, and the July 30 event extends that same invitation to anyone who could not attend a regional stop.
A statewide needs assessment survey remains open at musicoregon.org/survey for anyone unable to attend the virtual session.
