As summer comes to a close and students prepare to head back to school, Realty ONE Group Discovery is inviting the Central Oregon community to come together for a simple cause that can make a lasting impact.
On Tuesday, August 4, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Bend real estate brokerage will host Lemonade for FAN, a back-to-school fundraiser benefiting Family Access Network (FAN). The event will take place outside Realty ONE Group Discovery’s office at 185 SW Shevlin Hixon Drive, Suite 201, conveniently located near the Deschutes River and the Old Mill District. Community members are invited to purchase a cup of lemonade, donate new school supplies, or make a monetary contribution. Every dollar raised through lemonade sales and every donated item will help Family Access Network purchase the remaining school supplies local students need before the school year begins.
Located just steps from the Deschutes River and the Old Mill District, Realty ONE Group Discovery is in the heart of one of Bend’s most popular summer destinations. The team hopes community members will stop by the fundraiser on their way to float the river, surf Bend Whitewater Park, explore the Old Mill District, or enjoy a concert at Hayden Homes Amphitheater. Purchasing a cup of lemonade or donating school supplies is a simple way to support local students while already enjoying a day out in Bend.
“We believe every child deserves to start the school year with the tools they need to succeed,” said Jenelle McCleary, Principal Broker and Owner of Realty ONE Group Discovery. “For many families, school supplies are an added financial burden. By purchasing a cup of lemonade or donating supplies, our community can help make sure local students walk into the classroom feeling prepared and confident.”
Realty ONE Group Discovery is also encouraging other Central Oregon businesses to join the effort.
“We would love to see other local businesses come by, purchase lemonade for their teams, donate school supplies, or simply help spread the word,” McCleary said. “When businesses and community members come together, even small acts of generosity can create a big impact.”
The brokerage’s commitment doesn’t end with the fundraiser. Later in August, the Realty ONE Group Discovery team will volunteer alongside Family Access Network to help sort donated school supplies before they’re distributed to students throughout Central Oregon.
“Giving back has always been an important part of who we are,” McCleary said. “We’re honored to partner with Family Access Network, not only by raising funds but by volunteering our time. We hope this event reminds people that supporting local students is something we can all be a part of.”
