Scalehouse invites the community to join artists Kathleen Caprario, Sarah Grew, Sandra Honda and Mei-ling Lee for an artist talk exploring the ideas, processes and experiences behind The Spaciousness of Change.

The artists will discuss how their practices respond to the changing landscapes of Central Oregon, including the impacts of drought, wildfire, smoke, extreme heat and other environmental changes. Through photography, sculpture, sound and mixed media, their work considers not only environmental loss and disruption, but also resilience, adaptation and possibility.

Come meet the artists and discover the stories and processes behind the work, including pieces created using carbon printing techniques and materials connected to wildfire. The conversation will offer an opportunity to learn more about how the artists transform experiences of environmental change into powerful visual and sensory works.

An artist talk will be held on Thursday, August 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

This exhibition is free and open to the public.
