The Open Arts Center (OAC), a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering creativity, intergenerational learning, and belonging, is now open in Bend. Located at 999 NE 2nd Street, in the heart of the Bend Central District, OAC offers a welcoming, community-driven space where teens and adults can explore artistic expression, build creative skills, and connect in a supportive and inclusive environment.
A Creative Hub for Teens and Adults
OAC serves both teens and adults through a range of accessible programs and flexible creative spaces. At the heart of its mission is the Teen Center (ages 13โ18), a dedicated space where young people can gather, create, and be themselves without pressure or evaluation.
Teens can:
โCreate art, music, fashion, and more
โUse high-quality tools and supplies
โParticipate in creative workshops or Open Art Hours
โCollaborate and connect with peers in person
โExplore new ideas and follow their curiosity
โAttend and help plan events like the monthly Teen Open Mic
The Teen Center includes art and craft supplies, musical instruments, a sewing and fashion station, flexible workspaces, a quiet/classroom area, and a comfortable lounge.
Adult Programming, Co-Working & Studio Space
In addition to youth programming, OAC offers opportunities for adults to engage in creativity and community through:

OAC welcomes partnerships with local schools, counselors, PTOs, and youth organizations, as well as collaborations with artists, instructors, and community groups interested in hosting creative workshops or events.
