The annual $20 Art Show returns to the High Desert Museum the weekend of Oct. 17. Billed as Bend’s biggest little art show, more than 8,000 miniature, original artwork created by more than 350 artists will be up for sale. The artwork will be on display for two weeks prior starting Oct. 4. Each work of art is a maximum of 36-square inches and represents creations in watercolor, oil, acrylic and other styles. Artists range in age from eight to 80.

The art is available to purchase Oct. 17-19. Each day, at least 1,000 new works will be put on display to replace what’s been sold. Artists will also be creating artwork on site. Tickets, which cost $5, are required to participate. Those go on sale starting Sept. 24.

The $20 Art Show began in 2013 at the Bright Place Gallery to support local artists while also making original art affordable to the public. It was created by Stuart Breidenstein and Abby Dubief. The gallery closed in 2019, but the $20 Art Show was revived in 2021 at the High Desert Museum.
