It’s that time of the week again โ€“ when you start to ask yourself, “what am I going to do this weekend?” Sometimes our brains don’t have enough power left to even begin to think about making plans.

Well, that’s where we come in. Here’s a bit of what’s going on the next few days that can help turn you into a proper Weekend Warrior.

Friday – Double Mountain Tap Takeover & Tasting

Hood River’s Double Mountain Brewery will be in Bend for First Friday, taking over the taps at Velvet! Try some of their delicious brews, hear music from Jordan Wolfe and check out some sweet pieces of art from Randy Jones, aka JonezyArtwork.

Saturday – Sway Wild

The duo of Mandy Fer and Dave McGraw are back with a new name, Sway Wild! Their latest release, “Off-Grid Lo-Fi” was recorded completely with solar and wind powered electricity on an off-grid island in Washington state. This is a night of Americana you won’t want to miss. Opening the night is Benji Nagel and Brent Alan.

Sunday – Salmon Run

Why not kick this spring weather with a solid run! Take on either a 5K, 10K or half marathon to close out the week with one of Central Oregon’s longest traditions, the Salmon Run! This is a great way to get ready for the rest of the running season ahead. New to running? It’s never too late to start, and this would be a good event to make your first.
