Bend is getting another Italian dining concept, brought to you by Sixtop, the people who created Hablo Tacos, Bos Taurus and Miyagi Ramen in Bend. Nome Italiano is described as a “high-end/fine dining Italian restaurant,” according to a local jobs listing. It occupies the space off Century Drive previously occupied by Baltazar’s Seafood Restaurant, which closed its doors in early 2021. With hiring currently underway, Nome is expected to open this month.

  1. The same people that own 4 other restaurants, they sound like they dont know a thing about true Italian food, I am so sick of people opening up restaurants that do not have a clue how to cook that food, or were even raised around it
Sounds to me like itll be another restaurant to go waste about $100-$150 at.
Theyre going from steak, to Asian food, Mexican food To now Italian? Im not gonna waste my time or money.
I would rather they open up an
In-N Out, Cheesecake Factory, or PF Chang, even a Popeyes chicken.
Whats next for these guys they going to open up a Persian restaurant, sushi,
By the way is a joke in Bend, Thai food, more fusion food?

  2. I just wish, they were not opening another yuppie place that only so many can afford. Bend is becoming the Aspen of the Pacific North West. And leaving the everyday person that actually live here, and have for way too many years to count. out. MONEY, MONEY MONEY. And screw everyone else.

  3. How nice for the “west” side. In other news: More homeless motels for the east side; Landfill seeks new home on the east side; New managed camps coming to the east side.

  4. To all the posters who are upset about new Italian eatery on West Side get a life or move! The year is 2022 not 1982!
